Awesome food and atmosphere of Guam! Highly recommend the Tinaktak. It tastes like coconut milk beef stroganoff with fresh egg noodles. The banana donuts are a must for dessert. Not too sweet and very thin, light and crispy batter. Great outdoor seating space with heaters and really nice portable restrooms.

Was casually walking down Mission St after carnival and peered over the fence. The place looked super inviting. Walked in. They were full but very accommodating. A table opened up quickly. The food was great. The beer on tap cold. Wasn’t a huge fan of the natural wine but that’s a chosen thing which is cool with me. The server was amazing. Really cool place. Definitely will return.

Got a reservation here day of, pretty easy. This place looks to be mostly outdoor seating. There are heaters, it's kind of fenced off in a court yard area. I'd say the vibe is pretty neat and casual - I liked it. I came with three friends and we ordered a handful of items from the menu. Overall, it was really good - the double pork chop is so tender and delicious. One thing to note, is that the flavor profile of this cuisine seems to be very sour, but even if this isn't your favorite taste you should be open minded and come visit. Enjoy this unique restaurant and experience :D

I felt incredibly lucky at being able to try Chamorro / Guam cuisine executed at this level. This spot’s a must try. Get the tinaktak. Flavors were bright and acidic, keeping the food light and refreshing on a summer day. Lots of coconut to be found, but you’ll find something on the menu even if you don’t like coconut. Strong recommend.

This is my favorite restaurant in the city hands down. As a Chamorro, I come here regularly and constantly bring new friends to experience this special special place. Prubechu feels like home <3

The food was so unique and delicious! We had the bread and the eggplant along with the wine flight, which were all perfect. The service was seamless and friendly - we ate outside on the patio, which proved lively yet private enough to have a catch-up. A great addition to the Mission dining scene.

I've never had Guam food before so was really excited to try this place. The service there was super attentive and helpful in answering our multiple questions. We sat outside in this cute back patio area. FYI the bathrooms are the nicest outdoor ones I've ever used! The food came out fast and was perfectly hot and delicious. We ordered the eggplant appetizer (lechen birenghenas), ko'ko' wings, bbq pork ribs, tamales and coconut sauce noodles (tinaktak noodles), and chicken kelaguen&coconut titiyas. I was honestly not sure what to expect for the flavor profile of this cuisines but with every dish I was reminded of a different cultures flavors: the wings tasted Caribbean with a delicious flavorful seasoning, the titiya chicken filling tasted Laotian with the strong lime and herb taste but it was served on a scallion pancake which is typically Chinese, the eggplant was charred with a yummy coconut sauce that reminded me of a Filipino dish, so overall I was taken across a variety of familiar cultures that blended into Guam cuisine. My favorite dish were the wings cause they were sooo juicy and flavorful but the ribs and tamale were the most bland to me.

OBSESSED! Five stars all around for service, food, ambience, and experience. Definitely a must-try if you haven't had Guamanian food, but also a must-try if you're generally a fan of coconutty, bold, island flavors. Where to begin? So many standout dishes, I can barely choose. Lechen birenghenas (5/5) was like a smoky, coconutty baba ghanoush. Island roasted eggplant in coconut milk, citrus, and soy. Such a creamy, inviting palate-opener. Gulf shrimp kelaguen with titiyas (5/5) was a lovely shrimp ceviche-type dish served with the regional flatbread. The flatbread was a fun way to eat the shrimp but my advice? Lather it in the eggplant dish named above. Tinaktak (100/5). No notes. Excellent. Creamy, indulgent noodles. Soft, braised beef. Bright pops of veggies with tomato and bean. Such a vibrant and island-y noodle dish. A MUST try. Will definitely be coming back to try the entire menu from top to bottom. We ordered a healthy amount to share, and I suggest you bring some friends to do the same!

I literally have no objections to this place. The service was amazing (tempted to order more drinks). First time ever having chamorro food and this was a great introduction. Outdoor patio is heated, shielded from SF winds, and very inviting which is perfect for large parties. I noticed chamorro food incorporates coconut whenever they can but im not complaining. Would love to come back and try the table feast on a special occasion!
